Testing

I use several different private labs for advanced testing when necessary.

  • Doctor’s Data
    • urine heavy metal testing, pre and post provocation with a chelation agent
    • comprehensive stool analysis for bacteria, yeast and parasites
    • comprehensive cardiovascular risk profile
  • Diagnostic Solutions
  • SIBO Canada
    • breath test for SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth)
  • Mosaic DX (formerly Great Plains Laboratory)
    • organic acid acid urine test – provides information on vitamin, mineral and amino acid insufficiencies, detoxification capability, neurotransmitter function, mitochondrial energy production, methylation status, bacterial and yeast overgrowth
    • mycotoxin urine test
  • Rocky Mountain Analytical
    • urinary hormone testing – adrenal and sex hormones
    • food hypersensitivity testing (IgG antibodies)
  • Life Labs – this is the same lab your medical doctor may send you to. I am able to order blood tests at this lab, however you will have to pay private rates as these tests are not covered by MSP when an ND orders them. Common blood tests I order here are: Vitamin D (25OHD), comprehensive thyroid panel (TSH, free T3, free T4 and TPO antibodies), ferritin, hemoglobin A1C, glucose/insulin tolerance tests, hs-CRP, CTX (a marker of bone turnover in osteoporosis) and homocysteine.
