New Patients
Free 15-minute information sessions are available for anyone wanting to know more about naturopathic
medicine and my treatment approach. Please note there will be no
therapeutic recommendations during the information session and information
appointments may be cancelled with 24-hour notice in the event that
a regular patient requires the space.
What to expect – the process:
Before the first visit – Intake and consent forms can be downloaded
from the website and completed prior to the first visit. If you
have had recent blood work or imaging tests done, it is helpful
to get a copy of the results.
First visit (60 minutes) –
Please bring your intake forms, consent forms and copies of any
recent blood work or imaging tests. The goal of the first appointment
is to get a good idea of your medical history and current health
concerns and to discuss the goals and expectations of naturopathic
treatment. A complaint-oriented physical exam may be performed at
this time. You will receive some treatment recommendations on your
first visit.
Second visit (60 minutes) –
Generally scheduled two weeks later, the second visit includes a
physical exam and answers any questions that have come up from the
first visit. Once the medical history and physical exam have been
completed, we will establish a treatment plan that contains short
and long term goals for your health.
Return visits (30 – 60
minutes) – The time between return appointments depends on the severity of the condition and the therapies used. Someone receiving active treatments may come in every month for a follow up. Someone on a stable long-term plan may come in once a season to check in. Bowen technique, Neural therapy and Intravenous therapy appointments are often weekly during active treatment.
